Daft Sages

I studied the stars,
read the signs on my palm.
They showed me my paths,
the parts I dream of.

I've walked on seas,
rode the wings of Oceans.
I learnt balance,
the feet's and inches of fate.

But He is a fool,
he trusted his compass.
He was blinded by the signs.
The lines and contours of life.

We haven't seen His depths,
His paths of folly and wisdom.
Yet we number His words,
We hiss at Grace.

Who taught the eyes to see?
and the feet balance?
Who questions wisdom?
Is it not the fool, daft sages.
