God of our tears

God of our tears
The God to whom all our tears are precious. The who feels it when we sneeze. The One who feels our pain in a far greater measure than the travails of woman bringing forth offspring. The one that bends on one knee to oil that places where our scars itch.

God of our tears.
Would there be anything more wonderful.
Would there be anything more painful?
But you went ahead, You took undeserved stripes, You paid the price for our healing in advance. So that when we would need succour there would already be a balm for our wounds, a provision for our infirmities.

God of our tears.
But then we would still cry.
Because in our time here, we are subject to pain and misery.
We lose loved ones and precious things.
We would still cry for our lost friends.
We would hurt our knees in prayers for our friends who don't know You. Who don't want to have anything to do with you. Such pain.

God of our tears.
Would anything be more wonderful?
Than to know that these tears aren't wasted.
That these tears work healing in us.
That through these tears we bleed life into the graves of the ones that we thought we've lost.

God of our tears.
Today we are overwhelmed by pain.
It seems pointless.
It feels unbearable.
Please Father, carry us in your arms like You always do.
And fill our heart with new streams of joy.
